Progressive Router Tables
THE SMARTEST ROUTER TABLES EVER BUILT!
Every now and then an extraordinary product changes the very nature of the marketplace. Progressive Router Tables fit this category. Unlike other tables, the motor is attached to the machine's carcass, and the tabletop lifts up like the hood of a car. The result is incredibly easy, safe and fast bit changes. The router doesn't have to be shut down to change the bit height. On the commercial model, shown here and designed for serious amateurs, the router is raised and lowered by a crank with a rack and pinion. (Click here to see an image.)

On the industrial model (for cabinet shops, window manufacturers, schools and production facilities), the bit is raised and lowered with a pneumatic cylinder that is operated by a footswitch. That table has six built-in, fully adjustable stops for making moldings and joinery in several passes, or plowing deep dadoes without ever shutting down between passes. Click here for detail photos. Power to the motor instantly kills when the tabletop is lifted, making it much safer for students and new employees. Plunge cuts can be made by laying the part on the table, plunging up, making the cut, and then lowering the bit before the part is slid off the table. One doesn't have to drop the part onto a live bit, or lift it off. |
| Progressive Router Tables come with a top-of-the-line phenolic tabletop, a 1/8" thick solid steel industrial grade chassis, a sturdy and reliable fence, and a milled plate to accommodate most routers. Custom plates and factory-installed routers are available as options, as is a fence upgrade. |
Some day, all router tables will be this clever.
