Bacalar Bay Engineering, Inc. is based in rural Medford, Wisconsin, an hour northwest of Wausau. The company is named after a little-known vacation retreat in southern Mexico, where incredibly blue freshwater lakes lie minutes from the Caribbean in a sun-drenched, tropical paradise.

All parts are manufactured in-house or locally (from ISO 9001:2000 certified suppliers), and each Progressive Router Table (TM) is fully assembled on the factory floor. When a customer opens the carton, all they need do is install a router (if one hasn't been ordered from the factory), clamp the fence in place and connect the machine to a compressed air supply if it's a pneumatic model. Any standard air compressor will do. The recommended air pressure is just 70 psi., and as the system is sealed, there is no great demand on the compressor. There is a factory-installed on-board air filter, to ensure long life of the cylinder and other pneumatic elements.
